 Descendant Machine is another great book from one of Britain's best writers.  A fast-paced ride through dazzling ideas, Descendant Machine sends navigator Nicola Mafada on a wild ride through a threatened universe.

Deft handling of diversity, discrimination, and environmental issues gives the story real weight, but the narrative never preaches.

By turns sparky, funny, and totally profound, Descendant Machine is another excellent example of Gareth L Powell's total mastery of the SF genre.
